The tenants of Stuart House participated in a charity table tennis tournament. It was a week full of cheering, supporting and nail biting atmosphere.
The table was situated in The Hub for spectators to enjoy while they relaxed for lunch or grabbed a coffee.
The healthy competitive spirit was well displayed between the tenants as they fought to win the trophy!
We were honoured to have The Helping Hands Group visit for the final they were delighted with the generous amount we had raised for their amazing cause.
The knock out stages of the tournament revealed many close calls. But who would be the champion?
The final was between Ed Gee (Savills) and Murphy Cole (Regional Care). Murphy seemed like he had it in the bag when he was 2 sets up, but then Ed was able to do what looked like the impossible, winning the next 2 sets. The last set was intense, Deuce after Deuce left spectators on the edge of their seats.
At last, with a strike of genius, Ed was able to put the ball where Murphy could not reach and the game was over.
Congratulations Ed Gee for being the 1st Stuart House Table Tennis Champion!
